The Trouble With Freedom

The trouble with freedom is that it allows people to make mistakes and forces people to take responsibility for the consequences of their behaviors. With a little luck, it also allows you to enjoy the fruits of your wisdom and hard work. In today's world filled with uncertainty and fear, there is a great number of people who think we would all be better off if enlightened leaders made all of our decisions for us. I'm wary of any egoist who wants to claim the mantle of enlightened leader.

Thoughts on America's Energy Future

Rolling blackouts, $5+ a gallon gasoline, and increasing dependence on foreign countries for our energy needs is the inevitable result of current energy policies.
